I likely the design of your product, but honestly it is way too heavy. I understand the intention to have a product that can be super strong, but for a simple need for a gate latch the gauge of the chain is too heavy. The connetor key could also be smaller and lighter, but by far the chain links are too heavy making it clunky to wrap around posts. Perhaps you could consider making a lighter gauge version.
